The Pi isn't that powerfull and RaspyFi is designed to dedicate all the system's performance to audio. Won't that get in trouble if I install Transmission next to it?

I ended up with several SD card corruption issues,.. However I was using OpenMediaVault and not transmission alone...
You can try and see how it goes, then in the worst case you just reflash a clean raspyfi...
So, install transmission, configure it and use transmission remote on your PC to control it...

Let me know!

I mean, without noticable performance drops?

I've seen projects of people making a dedicated R-Pi torrent computer. That's also possible but then I'll have to buy another Pi (one as NAS, one for RaspyFi).
It would be nice if I could keep my torrents running 24/7 and have them stored on another hdd then my laptop's. Harddiskspace is getting scarce on my laptop.
