thomas on Tsunamp http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/everything-else/tsunamp/#p1801 Everything else http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/everything-else/tsunamp/#p1801 Hi Mike,
nice to hear from you.
I'm verry sorry not being able to help coding or setting up a repo according to my skills, 'cause I really like this project.
Raspyfi 1.0 runs fine on my stereo now for a few weeks and gives me a lot of pleasure by getting to know my collected music once again.
And by discovering high res audio (flac plays now up to 24/192 with perhaps one low volume click per minute, smaler rates without any disturbance).
Web-UI gives me all I need in a good loocking and functional way. So to my mind the aim "audiophile source" ist reached (besides those rare clicke with 24/192).
So thank you very much for this nice little piece of software.
Now I'm really interested what comes next and I wish you to have enough energy to climb that mountain.

thomas

I'm always receptive to help for the project, and already got other helping hands involved... So no problems (just the work load which is kind of overwhelming by now)...
So except to see something really soon! And, if someone thinks he could do something to improve the project, he is obviously more than welcome!

And really appreciate you guys cheering me up like that!

Given the high quality already of Raspyfi 1.0 I have no doubt the future will be bright!

Unfortunately I'm no good for helping with coding, but I will test, build a setup, and advocate to everyone who's interested Wink

admin on Tsunamp http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/everything-else/tsunamp/#p1782 Everything else http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/everything-else/tsunamp/#p1782 Hi Lucas,
the story behind this is quite simple... The project couldn't start because there were some misunderstanding between us (dev team), as we didn't agree on some fundamental things.
But don't worry, what was promised is still on working. You'll see something really soon. RaspyFi future is the same as now, it will become a distro not only for raspberry pi, but also for Udoo, Beaglebone Black and Cubox (and Cubox-i as well). It will just come under a different name, but the rest (what you love) will be the same.

lucask on Tsunamp http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/everything-else/tsunamp/#p1781 Everything else http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/everything-else/tsunamp/#p1781 I guess everyone has heard of the project called Tsunamp. I haven't kept myself up to date that well, but I believe it is meant as a continuation / new version of Raspyfi, that will not only run on the Raspberry Pi, but also on other similar boards. (please correct me if I'm wrong on this).

Every few weeks or so I drop by at http://www.tsunamp.com to see whether there is any news. However, now I saw the following message:

"Dear guys, We are really sad to announce that Tsunamp project will never see daylight. Due to some issues that cannot be handled, Tsunamp will not reach your audio gear. This doesn't mean that we drop developing this idea, only that you will see it under different name and projects.

Yours truly
Tsunamp Team"

This does make me a little bit sad, as I thought it was a really great idea, and as I was planning on building a setup around this or similar software. Does anyone know what is the story behind this? Will it affect the future of Raspyfi as well?

Best regards,
Lucas
