I've got exactly the same problem with my Micromega myDAC on Raspyfi v 1.0.
Do you think this problem will be fixed in the next version?

Thank you

Vincent

The kernel simply kills the snd-usb module. And it doesn't enable it when it reconnects...
But I don't know if I will have time to solve this for next release...

To avoid this you can try disconnecting and reconnecting your usb dac. Let me know if this works.
Btw, I hate Italian customs, these guy at malpensa should take it with less calm...

Ascomar on Bug or feature http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/raspyfi-install-and-troubleshooting/bug-or-feature/#p357 RaspyFi install and troubleshooting http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/raspyfi-install-and-troubleshooting/bug-or-feature/#p357 I don't know if this is a bug or a specific feature of RaspyFi, but the standard mpd on Wheezy works a little bit differently.
The problem arises if I switch the input selector on my DAC (DiY based on Wolfson 8740 and 2706 for USB decoding) on another input (e.g. SPDIF). Using the standard configuration, when I reselect USB again, the system reconnects automatically and start playing again. On Raspyfi you have to reboot the system in order to get any output.
From the client (gmpc fow windows 11.18.6) everithing seems to be ok: system connected, play indicator advances and even the audio bandwith is shown correctly.

This is not really a problem for me as I have already bougth a dedicated USB 2.0 receiver, based on the C-Media 6631) (the package is in the mail and this, here in Italy, could mean a lot of time ...).

Complimenti per l'ottimo lavoro.

Raffaele
