bisc40 on Can't get my ARCAM rPAC to work http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/raspyfi-install-and-troubleshooting/cant-get-my-arcam-rpac-to-work/#p2050 RaspyFi install and troubleshooting http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/raspyfi-install-and-troubleshooting/cant-get-my-arcam-rpac-to-work/#p2050 Right, I've been puzzling over this problem for the past month, as I tried to get Raspyfi to recognise my rPAC correctly. Like you, if the device was connected at boot up, nothing would play - Raspyfi was frozen. If I connected the device after boot it simply wasn't recognised by alsamixer (F6 / output device etc).
I now know why. By default the rPAC is a USB audio 1 device - this is make it a Plug & Play device in Windows - no driver required. Hence the 96/24 limitation. However the rPAC can be forced to boot as a USB audio 2 device. Simply hold down the volume up & down buttons as you plug in the USB plug to the RPi (in my case into a powered USB hub connected to the Pi). Then power up the Pi. Start playing something from the playlist. At first you'll hear nothing - just press volume up button on the rPAC and behold..............! So far I've been listening to 96/24 files - will download some 192/24 & test those this afternoon.
Hope this resolves your problems. Enjoy!

After spending couple of hours on google and messing around with every .conf and settings, I desperately need help of someone who is not as noobish as I'm.
I formatted the SD card and reinstalled raspyfi.

When I try to play some music (any source):
-no sound
-the WebUI shows "0 kbps" and no time is running
-the connected tv gives out "usb_set_interface failed (-32)" when I press play

Boot log:

Found hardware: "USB-Audio" "USB Mixer" "USB25c4:0003" "" ""
Hardware is initialized using a generic method
No state is present for card A10' ...amixer: Mixer hw:0 load error:
amixer: Mixer hw:0 load error: Invalid argument
amixer: Mixer hw:0 load error: Invalid argument
amixer: Mixer hw:0 load error: Invalid argument
...

When I reboot/shutdown:
Shutting down ALSA...warning: 'alsactl store' failed with error message 'alsactl:get_control:259: Cannot read control '2,0,0,ARCAM AUDIO 1.0 Output
FAIL Invalid argument '... failed

Can anybody help me? please?Confused
