But now it works, thanks again.
If I got you right, your range Starts with silence at ~75% and full speed at 100%; in this case I´ve got the same prob and no solution so far, but I´m working on it.

admin on Hardware mixer problem. http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/raspyfi-install-and-troubleshooting/hardware-mixer-problem/#p446 RaspyFi install and troubleshooting http://www.raspyfi.com/forum/raspyfi-install-and-troubleshooting/hardware-mixer-problem/#p446 Lol, have plenty of braincells left... So you're satisfied with the xmos/sabre combo! Nice to hear, I knew you would thank me lol

As for the hardmixer edit the mpd.conf as follows:

audio_output {
type "alsa"
name "Usb Dac"
device "hw:0,0" # optional
# format "44100:16:2" # optional
mixer_device "hw:0" # optional
mixer_control "DIYINHK Clock Selector" # optional
mixer_index "1" # optional

The only issue I have is that the volume ranges only from 100% to 85%, so I have only few step to adjust it... I'm looking for a solution... Let me know!
The hardmixer is a GIANT STEP FORWARD for quality... So everyone is advised to use this instead of software (if you need volume control...)

Volume of the ODAC can be controlled via MPaD, Volume of the combo not. Shouldn´t that be possible, too?
USB fix is installed, all 3 mixer related lines in mpd.conf are #ed.
If I un-# the software-mixer line, it´s working, but of course that´s not what I want.
un-#ing the hardware -mixer line dos not help at all. (Of course after re-starting mpd)
sudo alsa-mixer shows 2 output volume bars at 100 %.

Thx for help.
