Setting the volume control mixer to mixer_type "software" solved it. Dont know if its the right solution, but it works.

The dac i'm using is the grubDAC. its a DIY dac based on the Texas Instruments PCM2707 and the Wolfson Micro WM8524. You can add it to your list of compatible DACs.

I've got mpd running with mpad as client. Everything seems to work accept that it won't play. Songs get paused instantly. I cant figure out what the problem is, any ideas?
