Add this line

FS_MOUNTOPTIONS="-fstype=vfat,utf8 -fstype=fat,utf8"

to /etc/usbmount/usbmount.conf

Have you checked you have the permissions for those folders.. try navigating to your main music directory using putty and use the following command "sudo chmod -R 777 ." this will give mpd permsiion to all the files within that directory (obviously re-scan for music again)

Hi Gordon, the database needs a lot to index all your music... Just leave it updating for 20 mins or so... Let me know!
Left it running overnight , still no joy

Hi guys , got the system playing music and sounding very good but I am only seeing about 5% of my music collection. Using either GMPC on my windows machine or Mpad on the ipad I have tried refreshing the database but no joy.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
