You can use 2 separate sd cards, these systems nowadays can't coexhist..
You can use it via ssh. I suggest you to read the quick start guide, everything is covered and you should not have problems:

But it is asking for login and password. The problem is I don't have a usb keyboard. Also, the raspbmc installation on my card has been wiped out I guess. I assumed that it would remain. Is there any way to login without using a usb keyboard ? Also, can raspbmc and raspyfi work simultaneously on one SD card or not ? Thanks for your help.

So, for mac, do the following:

-download the image
-extract the image (it is zipped, you should unzip it)

Plug in SD Card
Open Disk Utility
Erase full disk
Open Terminal
Check disk name df -h
Disk name = /dev/disk2s1 (assumed name, check)
In Disk Utility, Unmount the SD Card, leave SD Drive in slot
Go to Terminal
sudo dd bs=1m if=~/Downloads[imagename] of=/dev/rdisk2
sudo diskutil eject /dev/rdisk2
remove SD Card

Please be careful, because if you do something wrong you can WIPE your hard disk!!!

This is RaspyFi, people are supposed to be asking support for RaspyFi... Wink

Actually, I am using Raspbmc. I tried flashing the RaspyFi image on the SD card using dd command but it does not find the image file even though the path is correct.

Getting the following error while installing MPD : Failed to fetch http://archive.raspbian.org/ra... 404 Not Found [IP: 89.16.177.90 80]

Why do you need to install mpd??? Are you using RaspyFi or Raspbian? If you're using RaspyFi mpd is included, refer here:
http://www.raspyfi.com/raspyfi-quick-start-guide/

Let me know! Give me more details and we will get it sorted...
