After reading this( http://www.raspyfi.com/buildin.....rence-dac/ ), I got around ordering few things for my RaspyFi build as suggested.

DAC: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBa.....1052067747
XMOS-USB interface: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBa.....1027397597

One thing I'm missing, is the PSU for the DAC. Since it requires rather unconventional 6V instead of 5V I can't use for example this http://www.diyinhk.com/shop/ho.....-1ax4.html . So, are there some suggestions for "Sunday DIYr" to built a PSU? I'm very capable with soldering iron, but schematics and protoboards are not my forte.

I'm thinking of making this simpler for myself, and ordering the PSU listed above and this DAC ( http://www.diyinhk.com/shop/ho.....lator.html ). I would still need a Toroidal transformer, but would 15VA 2x10V toroid be too much for the above mentioned PSU (smallest toroid my local shop has, thought of using toroid due lower interference)?

My actual setup for the audio side are Elac FS 197 floorstanding speakers driven by Anthem 225 Integrated ( http://www.anthemav.com/produc.....e=overview ) - sound great :-) So I'm willing to spend some money on the DAC to get a good sounding result.
